Development of Igualada Clinic’s website. A project developed at Mirinda Company in collaboration with the clinic’s doctors, aiming to create an accessible and functional platform for patients.
DISCOVERY
Starting Point
The project emerged from the need to redesign the Igualada Clinic website, which at the time only provided static information. The new website needed to align with the clinic’s updated visual identity and incorporate an online booking system to enhance patient interaction.
Research
We conducted interviews with doctors to understand both the clinic’s needs and user expectations. From this research, we identified the following key challenges:

Information Accessibility: The website needed to be clear and easy to navigate, ensuring that patients could quickly find the services they needed.

Patient Interaction: The clinic wanted to integrate an online booking system to simplify appointment scheduling.

Content Updates: The clinic staff required an easy-to-use system that allowed them to update content independently, without relying on developers.

INTERPRETATION
Objective
Develop a website that enhances the interaction between patients and the clinic, providing clear access to information and functionalities that improve the user experience.
Users
Two main user personas were identified:

Clinic Staff: Needed to manage the website easily and autonomously, without relying on third parties.

Patients: Sought clear information about services, appointment availability, and contact options.

"I want to easily find out what services the clinic offers and how I can book an appointment."

DEVELOPMENT
Visual Identity
With the visual identity previously developed by Mirinda Company and Ruiz Company, we worked to ensure that the website reflected the same values of trust, innovation, and professionalism, reinforcing the clinic’s professional image.

Additionally, based on this identity, we designed custom icons to represent each medical specialty.
Features
Based on the insights gathered, we designed the key sections of the website, ensuring that each feature aligned with user needs. We implemented these functionalities using Squarespace, combining visual design with programming to ensure that the platform was easy to manage for the medical staff.

Online Appointment Booking: A simple and efficient booking system for patients.

Medical Services: A section organized by medical specialties.

Contact Area: Easily accessible contact information for users.

Medical Team: A dedicated space where patients can learn about the clinic’s professionals, including photos, education, and specialties.

Iteration & Experimentation
Results
Throughout both the development phase and after the website’s launch, we conducted continuous reviews and usability tests with users to assess their interaction with the platform. This allowed us to refine navigation and optimize appointment management.

Additionally, we coordinated training sessions with the doctors to guide them on how to manage the online scheduling system independently.
